Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NÜME (“NÜME”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the NÜME mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier from that provider (we never receive your third-party password).
Profile and health data. To personalize your fitness and nutrition experience, we collect the information you provide, such as age, height, weight, body-fat percentage, training goals, available equipment, and dietary preferences.
Activity data. We store the content you log in the app, including workouts, exercises, meals and nutrition entries, weight and body measurements, progress notes, streaks, and challenge participation.
Progress photos. If you choose to upload progress photos, they are stored securely and are private to your account unless you explicitly share them.
Coach and voice features. Messages you send to the in-app AI coach, and audio you provide to voice features, are processed to generate responses. These are associated with your account so we can maintain your conversation history.
Social features. If you join groups, the messages and achievements you choose to share are visible to other members of those groups according to your privacy settings.
Subscription data. If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple or Google. We receive confirmation of your subscription status through our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Device and usage data. We may collect a push-notification token (if you enable notifications), device type, app version, and basic usage and diagnostic information to operate and improve the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, personalize, and maintain the Service, including generating fitness and nutrition guidance.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Sync your data across your devices.
- Send push notifications and service-related emails (for example, account verification, password reset, and reminders you have enabled).
- Manage subscriptions and entitlements.
- Analyze usage to improve features, reliability, and performance.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (cloud hosting and storage, AI processing, email delivery, subscription management, and fitness content providers), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Apple and Google, in connection with sign-in and in-app subscriptions.
- Other users, only for the content you explicitly choose to share in group features.
- Legal and safety recipients, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of NÜME and its users.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, after which we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where retention is required for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these rights directly in the app, or by contacting us at [email protected].
6. Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from the app settings, or by emailing [email protected]. We will process verified deletion requests promptly.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and continuously improve our safeguards.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. International Users
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. We take steps to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this policy wherever it is processed.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date. Significant changes may be communicated in the app.
